Every year, on September 5, Teachers Day is observed to honour Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, aformer president, politician, academic, philosopher, and recipient of the Bharat Ratna award, whowas born on that day in 1888. Just like every year Seva Kendra Calcutta celebrated Teacher’s Day on5th September at Mother Teresa Conference Hall with youth of Seva Kendra’s Skill DevelopmentProgramme. The programme was organized for an hour. The students of General Duty Assistant hadprepared dance, the students of Tailoring and Beauty and Wellness organized play, dance and otheractivities. The students of General Duty Assistant and Core Employability also presented speech andpoems to honour their teachers. Participation from all the students was ensured. More than 100participants had attended the programme from various skill development courses. Our honorable Director also shared why Teacher’s Day is celebrated on this day all over the country.
